A Home Away from Home
Hospice Care is usually provide in the familiar surroundings of home. But, sometimes the need for care gets more complicated and families can get overwhelmed. That’s why we provide a hospice house, a home away from home, where expert care is combined with beautiful surroundings and wonderful support for families---- where every single person knows what you’re going through and is there only to help you.
Accommodations
Hospice House offers three large, beautifully decorated, private rooms with a private bathroom and plenty of space for family. Each room is provided with a TV and cable, phone, Wi-Fi access, its own a/c thermostat, a refrigerator, a comfortable medical bed and equipment, and a sleeper bed for a guest. We also offer the following:
Spaces for loved ones to gather, talk, and relax
Porches and patios with easy access to the Edwin Neal Meditation Garden including a fire pit to use on cold evenings
A library/meeting room/quiet area is available
Spiritual areas for meditation and prayer
Kitchen, dining and laundry facilities
Parking just steps away
Piano and music therapy is available
Homemade soup and refreshments for families and patients throughout the day
Visitors made welcome anytime
A caring staff and volunteers who anticipate your needs
24 hour a day caregivers
Registered nurse and respiratory therapist on staff
